In new construction, Fuquay applied SprayWall serves as a corrosion barrier between Hydrogen Sulfide gas and the substrate. This proactive measure prevents these aggressive gases from deteriorating the exposed concrete, and extends the expected lifespan of a new structure. This coating process is completed after the installed structure has reached a full cure, and before flow has been introduced.
As a structural lining system for manhole rehabilitation, Fuquay, Inc. has made SprayWall by Sprayroq the premier choice for owners of water/wastewater assets across the state of Texas. The spray applied polyurethane exhibits the highest structural properties of its class, and was formulated to withstand a 50-year design life in even the most corrosive environments. Unique to coatings, SprayWall is a quick-curing polyurethane. This allows for a fast return-to-service and the ability to spray the structure in its entirety, ensuring that the structure is completely sealed and avoids the need for costly bypassing. In essence, the lining system creates a new manhole, within a manhole, without creating disruption to the public.
Large underground structures, such as lift stations, wet wells and pump stations, often suffer from extreme deterioration due to Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) and Hydrogen Sulfide gases. The trained professionals at Fuquay, Inc. offer engineered solutions with SprayWall to prevent the corrosion of new structures, and adequately restore existing structures to regulatory standards. The high-build, quick-cure design of SprayWall allows for speedy rehabilitation and return-to-service of even the largest structures. Benefits to this process will be seen almost immediately by collection system owners, through eradicating intrusive groundwater and lowering the volume of water treated at treatment plants.
Fuquay, Inc. has the ability to rehabilitate underground storm water drainage infrastructure with engineered application of SprayWall as a structural lining system. Our knowledgeable staff is capable of cleaning and televising structures with minor accessibility or severe debris, to properly assess the condition of a structure and provide sensible solutions to resolve the problem. The trenchless technology of SprayWall application allows for us to work with low public disruption and a fast return-to-service, for structures that would otherwise require lengthy road closures and expensive bypass costs.
A fast set, spray-applied polyurea that is 100% solids and contains zero VOC’s. It is formulated for excellent corrosion protection and impact resistance in harsh environments.
Bio-based polyurethane technology for preserving our infrastructure and environment
Fuquay, Inc. is also a certified applicator of SprayShield Green I (SG1), an elastomeric polyurethane. This flexible, 100% solids lining system provides chemical resistance for concrete, steel, masonry, fiberglass and other structures. SGI is formulated for use in wastewater and potable water environments, and provides rapid cure times for a quick return-to-service.
In complement with Sprayroq’s SGI technology, Fuquay, Inc. is also an approved applicator of SprayShield Green II (SG2). This semi-rigid, 100% solids polyurethane bridges the gap between the flexibility of SG1, and the rigid, structural properties of SprayWall. SG2 application targets chemical resistance of concrete, steel, masonry and fiberglass structures in both wastewater and potable water systems. Rapid cure properties of SG2 enable most newly coated structures to be returned to service quickly.
