Water Treatment Plants

COATINGS AND REHABILITATION FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT STRUCTURES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE BASINS, INTERIOR WALLS, WEIR WALLS, AND LARGE DIAMETER PIPELINES

Fuquay is a certified Sprayroq, Inc. distribution partner.  Sprayroq, Inc. manufactures spray-applied polyurethane products and solutions for Corrosion Management and Peace of Mind.  Our crews are certified installers of their revolutionary Spraywall products.  Spraywall is a long-term, totally trenchless solution for the preventative measure on new and existing water treatment structures.  Strong, durable and corrosion resistant, Spraywall coating is quickly applied.

The unique Spraywall material is a proprietary formula.  Utilizing plural component spray technology Sprayroq developed a fast curing chemical resistant formula capable of excellent adhesion for the coating of new manholes.  This trenchless technology solution provides long life, corrosion control, and abrasion resistance.  A urethane-based material, it’s designed to be implemented in water treatment facilities.  As the name implies, it is spray-applied.  It starts to cure in about 9 seconds, and acquires full strength within a couple of minutes.  Unlike some other coating materials, Spraywall is NSF61 approved.  Installation goes quickly, usually completed in hours.

Another product used within Water Treatment Plants is SprayShield Green 1.  This product is an elastomeric, 100% solids polyurethane coating which provides chemical resistance for concrete, steel, masonry, fiberglass and other surfaces in municipal, industrial agricultural and maritime applications. SprayShield Green 1 is formulated for use in potable water environments. SprayShield Green I’s quick curing time allows the newly protected structure to be returned to service immediately.

SprayShield Green 1 is ideally designed for applications on surfaces that are exposed to acids, corrosives and other caustic elements. Environmental factors such as freeze/thaw cycling, vibration and seismic activities have no affect on the performance of SprayShield Green 1.

NSF International is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that establishes and certifies products to various public health and safety standards. NSF/ANSI Standard 61 was established in 1988 and applies to every item that contacts drinking water, from its source to the end user’s faucet. NSF Certification means that Sprayroq products have been Tested and Certified by NSF for contact with potable water.
